2018 EuroHockey Club Festival

24th April 2018: During the weekend of 16th – 21st May the EHF will deliver the 2018 EuroHockey Club Festival. A weekend that will span over 5 days, including 10 venues in 9 European countries. There will be a total of 80 clubs (men and women), 118 games and going by last year over 1,000 goals! In addition, for the second year we are running an U14 EuroHockey Club Cup for girls in conjunction with the EHCC in Surbiton, London.  Hockey Clubs are at the core of European Hockey. #FridayFocus – Supporting the growth of Umpires in Bulgaria

19th April 2018: This week’s #FridayFocus article highlights supporting the growth of umpires in Bulgaria. Under the EHF’s programme of Supporting National Growth (SNG), Bulgarian Hockey recently ran an umpiring course. The EHF works with each National Association to develop a bespoke strategy which works for them. It is an emotive time in Spain and David explained that the way things are going is not the right way but that hopefully things will become better in the coming weeks. She also welcomed Ophélie Duquesne for her first meeting as EB liaison. She thanked the staff for their easy co-operation during the last year. On Friday night it will be the first time ever the EHF had a Christmas party – it was time to say goodbye to some of the staff members and former EB members. Siobhán has prepared a nice Christmas video message. Marijke emphasized the fact that it was important that the Board members are involved during and between the meetings as we go forward. ABN AMRO U14EHL 2018 Results

The ABN AMRO U14 EHL will run in parallel to the EHL with six of Europe’s top youth clubs contesting the trophy this season. In Pool A of the U14 EHL, HC Bloemendaal battle it out with Spain’s Real Club de Polo and Ireland’s Three Rock Rovers. Bloemendaal won a playoff with Rotterdam and Kampong for the right to represent the Netherlands while Polo did likewise in Spain against Atletic Terrassa and Club Egara.
