19th July 2017: Just 2 games yesterday in Pool B in Czech Republic leaving Belarus the overnight leaders. 

Russia – Turkey 6:1

Scorers: 3   SEROVA Varvara, 7   TYRTYSHNAIA Iana, 8   SARTAKOVA Iuliia 2x, 15 KHALIMOVA Alina, 17 ZELENOVA Victoria – 19  YALINKILIÇ Zeliha

The first match of the day was played by teams Russia and Turkey. From the start of the game we saw a very dynamic and action filled game dominated by Russian team, but the first quarter remained goalless. Finally, it was team Russia that scored the first goal of the match – 1:0.

Team Turkey tried to take the control of the game and were fully concentrated. However, Russia gained some ground, forcing a defensive error and scored a second goal Russia from penalty corner – 2:0.  The red machine did not stop and scored another 3 goals. In the last quarter team Turkey managed to score their first goal of the game from a penalty corner – 5:1. Final score was 6-1

Czech Republic – Scotland 1-1 

Scorers: 13  KOLAROVA Anna – 14  DARK Emily

For upcoming match between our Czech Team and team of Scotland, the whole tribune was excited! The stadium was packed with fans for both teams.

The first quarter was pretty equal and both teams had a lot of  goal scoring chances, but unfortunately this quarter ended goalless. Team Scotland came back into the second quarter ready and determined . They managed to score the first goal of the match – half-tme ended 1:0 for Scotland.

Czech Team did not give up. Number 13 Anna Kolářová scored a goal from a penalty corner.  The last quarter of the game was full of action as both teams tried to find the game winning goal, but this did not materialise and the game ended in a draw 1-1.
