The afternoon session started with the Relegation C Pool with all 4 teams in action and all having the possibility of either
staying up in the Championship Division or being relegated to the Trophy in 2015.

The semi-finals
2A C.H. SPV Complutense – Dinamo Yekaterinburg 1B 4-5 (2-2)
The first semi-final of the EuroHockey Championships. Dinamo the lead after 6minutes and Complutense replied almost immediately to level the scorlf e. It took until the 18th minute for the Spaniards to go ahead again via Sanchez with his second goal but Dinamo equalised immediately via Spichkovskiy, 2-2 at the half.

Dinamo started stronger in the second half and scored from a penalty corner in the 22nd minute. Complutense equalised again almost immediately via De Frutos their captain.

Dinamo scored 2 goals in quick succession to go ahead 5-3 and an intense final 10 minutes. Compluense did bring it back to 5-4 but the Russians held their nerve in spite of of an attacking onslaught from the Spaniards.

The second semi-final and the Germans faced Racing who were in their first ever EuroHockey Indoor semi-final. In a surprising turn of events Racing Club took th. e lead in the 4th minute via De Mot. It took Harvestehuder until the 8th minute to equalise. In contrast to the other games, where Bjorkman was the lead scorer it was indeed Koerper who scored a hat trick to bring the score to 5-1 at the half.

The Belgians started well in the second half but the clinical execution of well rehearsed attacks allowed Harvestuder to dominate play and the game finished 9-4.
