As the EuroHockey Indoor Junior Men’s Championships ended, the women teams were packing for their Championships in Prague!

With a number of withdrawals from this and the Championship II in the end there is only one EuroHockey Indoor Junior Championships, with 8 teams. Back to the Arena Sparta, Prague (the venue for the last EuroHockey Indoor Junior Championships in 2013)  the teams from Poland, Belarus, Turkey, Switzerland, Slovakia, Russia, Austria and the hosts Czech Republic have gathered here this evening for the briefings, the final checks and last training sessions before we commence tomorrow.

The current holders Poland will be hoping to repeat their win, with the hosts Czech Republic pushing to go one better and win the Cup after losing to Poland in the Final in 2013.

Russia, who are a constant feature in this event and have medaled  before will be hoping that this is the year that they make the Final. Belarus are always competitive at EuroHockey indoor events and Turkey has come with a well organised team, ready to go one better than their women’s national team last year and make a semi-final slot. The Austrian team trained well this evening along with Slovakia and Switzerland. With many of the teams are able to make the trip by bus to Prague, the time on the pitch today was a great opportunity to stretch the limbs and get used to the excellent fast floor here in Prague.

We are delighted that there is LIVE STREAMING for the Tournament in addition to updates on Twitter and a full gallery of photographs on our Facebook page.
