Brussels, March 18, 2015: EHL adjusts KO16/Final 4 match schedule due to coverage by Eurosport

The fixture schedule for the KO16/FINAL4 of the Euro Hockey League has been adjusted for television purposes with Eurosport 2 set to broadcast 11 of the 16 games. The first semi-final on Sunday 5 April and the bronze medal match on Monday 6 April move forward by 30 minutes to 12.00hrs. All other fixtures remain at their original times.

Speaking about Eurosport’s coverage, Angus Kirkland, Director General for the European Hockey Federation, said: “We are delighted to get yet more exposure for our sport at this elevated level, showcasing one of the most exciting knock-out hockey competitions in the world.” During the tournament, HC Bloemendaal will open each day of the KO16/FINAL4 to ticket holders an hour and a half before the first match of the day.

About the EHL KO16/FINAL4
For the second year, the KO16 and the FINAL4 events have been merged. Between Wednesday 1 and Monday 6 April 2015, HC Bloemendaal will welcome 16 of Europe’s finest teams to their home, just west of Amsterdam. Five days of spectacular hockey action in a knock-out tournament will lead to the crowning of the 2015 EHL champion. Friday 3 April is a rest day, a chance to enjoy the Junior Euro Hockey League, featuring teams from the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Belgium, or perhaps to visit the EuroHockey Club Champions Cup for Women which will be held in the city of Bilthoven.
