The 2019 EuroHockey Indoor Junior Championships will take place on the following dates at the venues stated. Participating nations have qualified for each division based on their final ranking from the 2017 competition.

NOTE For the Junior Championship tournaments the composition of the pools will be the responsibility of the EHF and will be based upon the Indoor World Ranking of the participants’ senior teams (on the moment the match schedules are prepared).

Junior Men’s Championship

Teams:            Pool A: AUT, SUI, CRO, BLR                Pool B: POL, RUS, ITA, TUR

Venue:            Vienna, Stadthalle B (AUT)

Junior Men’s Championship II

Teams:            One Pool: CZE, SWE, DEN, UKR, POR, SVK, WAL

Venue:            Paredes, Pavilhão Rota dos Móveis (POR)

  • Was initially scheduled to be played in Espinho, but due to elections in that city the support of the city government of the venue wasn’t existing anymore. The new venue is about the same distance from Porto airport so this change was approved.

Junior Women’s Championship

Teams:            Pool A: BLR, POL, SUI, ITA                  Pool B: UKR, CZE, AUT, RUS

Venue:            Tarnowskie Gory, Hala Sportowa Tarnowskie Gory (POL)

Junior Women’s Championship II

Teams:            One Pool: CRO, WAL, SWE, TUR, SVK

Venue:            Sveti Ivan Zelina, Sport Hall “Sveti Ivan Zelina” (CRO)

  • SVK recently entered as 5th The host is trying to convince neighbour countries like SLO, SRB and HUN to enter also to have more teams in the event.

For the events in Vienna and Tarnowskie Gory, the RUS teams are scheduled to participate. As the RUS Federation had difficulties this year with finding money, it is possible that they will withdraw. The RUS Federation confirmed they can’t confirm anything now. The withdrawal deadline is 30 June 2018.

In case they withdraw, the first replacement for men is CZE and for women is TUR.

Note: The withdrawal date for all tournaments in this competition is 30 June 2018. Any Nation withdrawing after that date may be subject to a fine or other disciplinary action by EHF. See current EHF Indoor Nations Regulations for further details.
