The European Hockey Federation is committed to ensuring that all members receive access to the same opportunities. #EquallyAmazing aims to promote gender balance throughout European Hockey. Different stories from members of the hockey family are highlighted; illustrating the important role that both men and women have in strengthening the sport.
We heard from some European Hockey Federation (EHF) youth panel members on why they stay involved.
Ivett, a hockey coach and youth leadership panel member, works as a development officer for the Serbian Hockey Federation. Their goal is to get more people involved in hockey and to get more women involved in leadership positions.

Yoshi is a youth panel member from France who got involved while interning at the French Hockey Federation. When discussing their role he says “we try to give youth a voice and be the link between our local clubs or national federations and the EHF”.
Yoshi participated in the EHF Youth Leadership Festival two years ago and speaks highly of the experience. He called it an empowering week and recommends it to any young men and women hoping to meet new people and improve their skills. Similarly, Ivett lists meeting people from different backgrounds and getting involved in different aspects of hockey like ParaHockey as reasons why individuals should get involved with the youth panel.

They believe that #EquallyAmazing is particularly important for youth so that they can see that hockey is for everyone as we’ll need to grow together to increase the value of the sport.
The #EquallyAmazing campaign is supported by both the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the (EHF) in an effort to ensure that everyone has access to the same opportunities – from the pitch to the boardroom.
