At the end of last week, both the EHF Competitions Committees Indoor and Outdoor met to consider the outcome of 2020 and to plan for 2021 and 2022.
The Indoor Committee discussed the following:
The EuroHockey Indoor Junior Championships and Club 2021 events and planning for any potential issues that may arise especially in relation to COVID19. A full report will be presented to the Executive Board at its meeting this week.
Entries and Applications to host the EuroHockey Indoor Championships 2022 were considered and the Committee recommendations will be considered at the upcoming Executive Board Meeting. Venues to be announced in due course.
The Committee discussed the format of the EuroHockey Indoor Championships.
The Committee will meet via webinar towards the end of this year to review any issues with upcoming events in January and February 2021.
The Outdoor Committee also met last week and discussed the following:
A full discussion took place around events in 2020 and 2021 in relation to the impact (and potential impact for 2021) of COVID19.
They received updates on the EuroHockey Championships 2021, U18 2021 and Hockey5s 2021.
They considered and approved the awarding of the 2021 EuroHockey Club events, these will be announced later this week.
Entries and Applications to host the EuroHockey5s Senior Tournaments 2021 were considered and the Committee recommendations will be considered at the upcoming Executive Board Meeting. Venues to be announced in due course.
They received a short report on the High-Performance meetings and a report regarding Disciplinary matters.
The Committee will meet in March 2021 in Brussels.
