EuroHockey Club Trophy 2021 Women (results and rankings)
As we had only 5 teams enter this event, a 5-day event was agreed on with the teams, to make sure that the players got lots of games and the winner would be the team that topped the one pool! In an unusual turn of events, the winners will be La Gantoise, who don’t in fact play tomorrow! The rest of the rankings will be confirmed after the games tomorrow.
EAST GRINSTEAD HC (ENG) 3 – 4 SANSE COMPLUTENSE HC (ESP)
A game played until the last second, SANSE COMPLUTENSE HC opened the scoring in 11th from a penalty corner by Lola Riera Zuzuarregui. EAST GRINSTEAD HC responds in the 13th minute on field goal by Ellie Rayer. Then Patricia Alvarez scores on the field goal in the 14th and 44th minutes (SANSE COMPLUTENSE HC). EAST GRINSTEAD HC returns in the 49th minute on field goal by Lydia Macdonell. 50th minute penalty corner concluded by Lola Riera Zuzuarregui (SANSE COMPLUTENSE HC).
At the 55th minute EAST GRINSTEAD HC gets back to the score by Fatin Sukri
LILLE MHC (FR) 0 – 6 GANTOISE HC (BEL)
The GANTOISE HC, first in the team classification, is playing its game and meets a well-established LILLE MHC team. In the 10th minute the GANTOISE HC opened the scoring on field goal by Noa Schreurs, in the 21st minute penalty corner concluded by Stephanie Vanden Borre (GANTOISE HC), in the 29th minute on field goal by Alix Gerniers (GANTOISE HC), at the 29th minute on field goal by Émilie Sinia (GANTOISE HC), 33rd minute on a penalty corner by Émilie Sinia (GANTOISE HC), and in the 44th minute on field goal by Ambre Ballenghien (GANTOISE HC)

Our women’s event finally got underway today – with the late withdrawal of Pegasus, it meant that there was only one semi-final, and Surbiton was catapulted into the final tomorrow, where they will face hosts, UHC Hamburg.
