10th March 2022, Brussels, Belgium: The European Hockey Federation has signed a new partnership with AAA–LUX, a major producer of LED Lighting for sporting venues and alike. For the next 3.5 years, they will be one of the Official Partners and visible at all EuroHockey competitions. Furthermore, they will be a sponsor of the Umpire shirts and have an extra presence at the EuroHockey Championships.

AAA-LUX is a vast growing organisation with offices in 5 countries and over 50 resellers worldwide. In 2021 they installed nearly 500 LED lighting systems at venues worldwide.

A big project ahead is the LED Lighting for various Olympic venues in Paris for the 2024 games. Among them is the hockey venue.

During their reseller event with 20 European installers, the contract was signed in the presence of AAA-LUX CEO Peter Vermaas, the EHF President Marijke Fleuren, Director-General Angus Kirkland, and Commercial Manager Jokko de Wit.

Marijke Fleuren “We are very happy with signing this contract with AAA-LUX because we share equal values; One team, one goal with a mission to strengthen hockey in Europe.

With this connection, we can help our clubs and Members to become more sustainable with excellent lighting at hockey venues”

Angus Kirkland added “The EHF is delighted to have found a new partner in AAA-LUX, an established Dutch brand in the LED lighting market for sports venues. AAA-LUX will have a big exposure package with the EHF. The beautiful part of this sponsorship is that the partners of AAA-LUX from all over Europe can activate the sponsorship at one or more of our 40 EuroHockey competitions per year.”

Peter Vermaas, CEO AAA-LUX said “We are very delighted that we have signed this contract with the EHF and that we can support hockey in Europe. With this partnership we have the opportunity to create more brand awareness in Europe. We also give our European partners the possibility to be active in more than 40 competitions per year. Together we can do amazing things!”
