Report thanks to Austrian Hockey:

POL – AUT 1:1 (0:1)

The first quarter was clearly in the hands of Austria. The goal came early – in the 4th minute: a nice attack down the left and Franzi Frey scored to give Austria a 1-0 lead. At the end of the first quarter, Poland comes to a dangerous scene in front of the Austrian goal, but the situation is resolved.

As a result, the game goes back and forth – Austria does not exploit the possible performance potential and makes life difficult for itself by simply losing the ball in the game. Shortly before half-time penalty corner for Austria – good shot but the opposing corner defense can deflect the ball. In the counterattack corner for Poland, which is also not used.

Also in the 2nd half, Austria did not play enough dangerous circle scenes – the ball is simply lost too quickly. It comes as it must – in the 52nd-minute penalty corner for Poland. Nice combination of passes from the left, the ball comes back to the Reingeber and she is in the right position to put the ball into the goal. That means the 1:1 compensation.

UKR-FRA 1:4 (0:1)

In this game, France is the team that turns their chances into goals. Ukraine takes many penalty corners but ultimately only manages to score one goal. The French do it better – a total of 3 goals result from converted penalty corners.

The French lead 1-0 at half-time and pull away to 4-0 in a strong third quarter. Ukraine didn’t give up, but even in the last quarter they only scored their first goal of the game in the 55th minute.

CZE- ITA 0:1 (0:0)

Italy fights for the first points for the table in this game. The Czech Republic seems a bit unfocused and tired today. Italy wins a lot of duels because they play consistently and with more pressure. In the 37th minute, it is Clara Ramon who puts Italy ahead. Overall, a large part of the game is played in midfield and is characterized by numerous ball losses. Although the Czech Republic takes the goalkeeper off the field 3 minutes before the end, they are no longer able to equalize and Italy celebrates their first victory.
