Venues announced for 2023 EuroHockey Championship II and III events

The venues for the 2023 EuroHockey Championships have been confirmed following successful bids from Ireland, Poland, Czech Republic and Türkiye to host events next summer.

They add to the already confirmed destination for the top tier events which will take place in Mönchengladbach, Germany next summer.

Dublin will be the host for Men’s Championship II while Skierniewice in Poland welcomes Championship III. On the women’s side, Prague is the host city for Championship II and Alanya is the venue for Championship III.

The 2023 EuroHockey Championships (Men and Women) will take place on the following dates and venues:

Men’s Championship

Teams: AUT, BEL, ENG, ESP, FRA, GER, NED, WAL

Venue: Mönchengladbach (GER)

Dates: 18-27 August 2023

 

Men’s Championship II

Teams: CZE, IRL, ITA, POR, SCO, SUI, TUR, UKR

Venue: Dublin (IRL)

Dates: 23-29 July 2023

 

Men’s Championship III

Teams: BLR (*excluded for the foreseeable future), CRO, GIB, LTU, MLT, POL, SRB, RUS (*excluded for the foreseeable future)

Venue: Skierniewice (POL)

Dates: 23-29 July 2023

 

Women’s Championship

Teams: BEL, ENG, ESP, GER, IRL, ITA, NED, SCO

Venue: Mönchengladbach (GER)

Dates: 18-27 August 2023

 

Women’s Championship II

Teams: AUT, CZE, FRA, LTU, POL, SVK, UKR, WAL

Venue: Prague (CZE)

Dates: 30 July-5 August 2023

 

Women’s Championship III

Teams: BLR (*excluded for the foreseeable future), GIB, SUI, CRO, RUS (*excluded for the foreseeable future), TUR

Venue: Zagreb (CRO)

Dates: 24-29 July 2023

Withdrawn from hosting : TUR

NB: In case of circumstances beyond EHF’s control, EHF reserves the right to reconsider the event dates.

NB: For the Senior Championships tournaments, the arrangement of the pools will be the responsibility of the FIH (using the appropriate World Ranking positions on the moment the match schedules are prepared).

NB: The withdrawal date for all tournaments in these competitions is 15 January 2023. Any National Association withdrawing after that date may be subject to a fine or other disciplinary action by EHF. See current EHF Regulations for further details.
