EuroHockey Institute partners focus in on August project launch

The EuroHockey Institute project partners met in Copenhagen recently with a focus on the public launch of the project on 17th August 2023. 

The partners were hosted by and gave thanks to Michelle Blagdon Lindop and Adam Evans for their hospitality at Københavns Universitet – University of Copenhagen last month.  

EuroHockey Institute Coordinator Cameron Findler thanked staff from Association Royale Belge De Hockey, Fédération Française De Hockey, Copenhagen University, Stichting Orange Sports Forum, Royal Dutch Hockey Federation, Deutsche Hockey Bund, Hockey Magic, Slovenian Hockey Federation, Swiss Hockey Federation namely Rick Sleegers Nathan Kipp, Gérald Duby, Sophie Raffy, Cameron Findler, Dick Besters, Stephan Haumann, Benny Berthelsen for their insight and engagement. 

Copenhagen University also gave an overview of the work undertaken since the creation of the Institute via two intellectual outcomes coordinated, researched and written by Associate Professor Adam Evans. These are: 

Intellectual Outcome 1 

TITLE: International Sports Federation Frameworks for Education 

DESCRIPTION: An insight report on the education programmes and processes used in international sports federations 

Intellectual Outcome 2 

TITLE: Educational Framework for the Teaching and Learning of Good Governance 

DESCRIPTION: A resource and training information pack for national associations to adopt and implement good governance policy.

Adam then explained the timeline, initial process and planning for Intellectual Outcome 8, the review of the project which must be submitted by the end of 2023 to our funding partners, the European Union. 

Intellectual Outcome 8 

TITLE: Findings of the European Hockey Frameworks for Educational Output 

DESCRIPTION: An insight report on the education pillars created for the EIH; which processes should and can be used in international sports federation educational development 

 The next meeting will be on 16th August and the EuroHockey Institute will be formally launched on the 17th August on day one of the EuroHockey General Assembly in August 2023 in Mönchengladbach.
