It was Pool A in action yesterday. Turkey and Ireland took the points on offer to set up a top of the table clash for later today.
Match 7: Belarus and Turkey (0:4)
The first match of Tuesday started better for the team from Belarus. Those players had penalty corner in the first minute but they didn´t score. A few seconds after this penalty corner player number 18 Furkan Atas from Turkey scored. It looked like a very fast and equalized match. During the next 10 minutes, we could see many chances for both sides. In the second period, there was pressure from Belarus players but
without a goal. After half time we saw the second goal of the game. From penalty corner in the 35th minute
scored Turkish player number 11 – Mehmet Demirel. The score was 2:0 for Turkey. After the second goal, we didn´t see pressure from Belarus side which we assumed. In the 40th minute after penalty stroke Turkish player number 8 – Muslum Elagoz scored. A few minutes later scored again player number 8 and the new score was 4:0. It looked not so positive for the team from Belarus but they still had more than 15 minutes till the end of the match. The next 15 minutes Turkish team just defended and no one scored. At the end of match, they could celebrate the next win and the next 3 points.

Match 8: Czech Republic and Ireland (0:8)
A really important match for the Czech team started quite good and optimistic. First bigger goal chance
had Czech player number 13 Čeněk Zuna but he missed. Next 8 minutes we could see chances on
both sides but no one was successful. The first goal of the match was in the 10th minute of the first period. A free player from Ireland didn´t miss. The score was 1:0. But every Czech fan didn´t lose hope and everyone started to shout louder. Unfortunately, it wasn´t enough. The second period of the match was a difficult one for the Czech team. They conceded 4 fast goals from Mark Samuel, Conor Empey, Callum Robson and Ben Johnson. The Czech hope for a better score was lost. After half time the Czech team changed goalkeepers. There was no pressure from Ireland. Irish players just defended and waited for action from In the final quarter Ireland added another 3 goals. The first one was from penalty stroke by Conor Empey, next two by Guy Sarratt and Matthew Crookshanks. The final score of the last match of the day is 8:0 for Scotland. For the Czech team that means a difficult situation to stay in the Championship II division.
