National Association Strategic Plans

To write your own Strategic Plan, we suggest you use these 3 simple steps

o Where is your association now?
o Where does your association want to get to?
o What people/training/tools/resources do you need to get there?

An example of a Strategy document can be found on England Hockey website hereThere are also Strategic Plan templates available to help you with this process on the FIH Website

National Association Development Project Grants

Each Olympic cycle EHF offers support to National Associations who submit a development project that supports the growth of hockey and the training of key volunteers. Both of these areas are a key part of EHF Strategic Plan. The next round of grant applications will go out from EHF Office in October 2016.

These are small grants and EHF will be looking to support those nations who can demonstrate that our support will lead to a multiplier effect. i.e. our support for your project leads to support also from your Ministry of Sport, NOC, and/or your own Association funds.

EHF/KNHB Sharing Knowledge Project 2016 – 2017

The Twinning program pairs one National Association with a Dutch Hockey club, to secure a long term investment in the growth of hockey. The Twinning NA and Club then create a structural link, and focus on the following subjects: Umpire, Coaches and Officials training; Club development and administration; event management; facilities and equipment; and team exchanges.

The nations selected following a rigorous process to be twinned with key KNHB clubs are:

  • Austria
  • Belarus
  • Bulgaria
  • Croatia
  • Czech Republic
  • Lithuania
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Switzerland
