​Identification​

• Research highlighted high dropout rates among women and girls due to confidence, belonging, and cultural barriers in sport. EuroHockey and the FIH identified the need for targeted, evidence‑based interventions to keep women & girls engaged and progressing in hockey. ​

Activation​

• The UNLOCK programme delivers inclusive coaching tools, education resources, and visible role models. The initiative equips coaches to create welcoming environments and supports leadership and progression opportunities for women across the sport. ​
