Digital architecture of Transformation project taking shape at London meeting

Partners of the EU Co-funded Digital Transformation project met in London this week at the Head Office of EuroHockey partners Skylark Creative.

Following the new EuroHockey brand launch in August 2023, together with a new website, the work since has concentrated on the digital architecture behind the scenes for a member national association portal.

Helping to prove that DIGI is pioneering a simpler and greater influence of digital communication to empower our sport in effecting change for good.

Adam Evans, Associate Professor of Copenhagen University, led the session in London, designed around a academic theory for change, and led a range of interactive sessions. These centred around the following two principles:

1. Recommendations for use by other European Sports Federations.
– Review all existing digital material and project outputs and guidelines which will be produced in a report showing recommendations for use by other international sports organisations.

2. Impact ensuring support for future programme models

– An impact report ensuring the claims have been met and it supports future DIGI programme models to achieve strategy growth delivered in solidarity.

Tom Pedersen-Smith Head of Strategy and Development was excited to unveil to partners in the room – including Czech Hockey, Polish Hockey and French Hockey – the work that had been done to date.

“The portal is the main provision of our new digital architecture with a whole host of capabilities for EuroHockey member national associations. We will be able to track the needs and activity, resulting in the use of data rich decision making informed to demonstrate strategies of members.”

Kayne Brennan Technical Director at Skylark Creative, whom has been ever present in this project stated:

“Improving the functionality and sustainability of EuroHockey’s digital capabilities is so important, making life so much easier for our member by allowing them to use one portal for all activity from team sheets to funding grants.”
