The EHF has announced today that all the EuroHockey Under 18 Championships, boys and girls, are to be cancelled, due to the ongoing impact of the COVID19

The EHF President, Marijke Fleuren said “At our online Board meeting on 21st March, we agreed that we would review the EuroHockey Under 18 Championships, boys and girls and announce our decision not later than 7th April.

We have now spoken with all our hosts and we believe that this is the best possible decision to ensure the safety of all those involved.”

“However we also have a positive message for the players: As already announced, we will have again a EuroHockey U18 Championships in 2021. In order to allow all players that may have been selected for this year the chance to play next year, we have decided that for 2021 only, this event will be an Under 19 tournament.”

Notes:

  • All rankings and pools will remain the same for the EuroHockey Under 18 Championships, boys and girls, assuming that the entries are the same.
  • We will confirm the hosting of the events as soon as possible.
