The EuroHockey Foundations background

> Children, and vulnerable adults particularly those in disadvantaged and minority communities, lack access to safe and stimulating play spaces. This can negatively impact their physical and mental well-being, social development and educational opportunities.
> The European Union's White Paper on Sport acknowledges the importance of providing access to sport for all, particularly to children and those from disadvantaged communities. It highlights the role of sport in promoting social inclusion, personal development and active citizenship; to address inequalities in access to sport and to create opportunities for everyone to participate, regardless of their background or abilities.
>Collaboration between various stakeholders, including public authorities, sports organisations and civil society, to ensure that everyone has the opportunity, to benefit from participating in sport

The EuroHockey Foundation's vision

To empower individuals and communities across Europe through field hockey, building a society where everyone can reach their full potential and contribute to a more just and inclusive world.

The EuroHockey Foundations Mission

Through strategic partnerships and innovative programs, the EuroHockey Foundation leverages the unifying power of field hockey to create a more inclusive and equitable society, fostering positive social change across Europe.

Projects:

> The first project of the EuroHockey Foundation is a project in Brabant (Netherlands) where senior citizens are invited to join a walking hockey group.
> In 2025, four groups started to be formed in Breda, Tilburg, Eindhoven and Den Bosch resulting in a first walking hockey clinic at the Euro Hockey League for 65 people. The project continues into 2026 and the objective is to embed it in local hockey clubs for the long term.
