Day 2 of the European Qualifiers got underway in Pisa today

As with the men’s event, today was all about World Ranking points as the teams who lost their quarter-finals yesterday had to consider taking as much as possible from the next two games.

Match 5: France v Russia 2:3

Bogdana Sadovaia, Russia said  “Today we had an incredibly good game, France’s team was fast and dangerous. After the first two goals, we were a bit relaxed and France team tried to take over control. 3rd quarter they scored a fast goal at the first minute of the quarter, which was the signal for us to wake up. After 30 seconds we scored our third goal, and the victory was ours. We won and I am glad about this.”

Match 6: Italy v Poland 2-0

Chiara Tiddi, Italy was pleased with today: “Today match for us was tough, but we played quite well. We tried to improve what we needed to improve if we compared it with yesterday’s game. It was another opportunity for us to grow as a group and as a team on the field. Even if the result of yesterday was not great, the team deserved to win today. I am happy, because we showed what the team we are and where we are going next.”
