It is planned that the postponed Indoor Championship events will occur in December 2022, with the 2022 January hosts getting the first right of refusal to host. More information will follow in early 2022.
EHF President Marijke Fleuren said “Once again we have to take very serious decisions in conjunction with our hosts always with the safety of our athletes, their management, our volunteer officials, and all those in the local organizing committees at the forefront. We are grateful to our hosts for their transparency and consultation on the situation in each country. In the end, our togetherness consoles us”.
On the postponement of the EuroHockey Indoor Championships, Men and Women, DHB President Carola Meyer said “Listening to the expert commission of the German government and seeing how rapidly Omicron has spread in Europe and now also in Germany in the last few days, the EHF and us as organisers and hosts, unfortunately, had no other choice.”

All ticket purchases for the European Indoor Championships in Hamburg will be canceled via the portal www.hockeyticket.de within the framework of the aforementioned regulations. Ticket holders will be informed about the exact procedure soon.
