EuroHockey5s U16 Championships 2022 – update

Updated 4th July 2022, Brussels, Belgium: The EuroHockey5s U16 Championships 2022 (Boys and Girls) will take place on the following dates at the venues stated.

Participating nations have qualified for each division based on their final ranking from the 2019 competition.

Boy’s U16 Championship

Teams: AUT, CRO, POL, SUI, UKR, WAL

Venue: Basel (SUI)

Dates: 6-9 July 2022

Withdrawn: BUL

Excluded: BLR, RUS

Boy’s U16 Championship II

Teams: GEO, SVK, TUR

Venue: Alanya (TUR)

Dates: 7-9 July 2022

Withdrawn: GIB, FIN, DEN

Girl’s U16 Championship

Teams: AUT, CRO, GEO, POL, SUI, TUR, UKR, WAL

Venue: Basel (SUI)

Dates: 6-9 July 2022

Withdrawn: GIB, IRL

Excluded: BLR, RUS

Notes:

  1. In case of circumstances beyond EHF’s control, EHF reserves the right to reconsider the event dates.
  2. For the Youth Championships, the arrangement of the pools will be the responsibility of the EHF and will be based on the final rankings of teams immediately after completion of the previous EuroHockey5s Championships.
  3. To be eligible to participate in the EuroHockey5s U16 Championships, players must be born on, or after, 1 January 2006. Moreover, each player needs to be at least 13 years old on the first day of the event
  4. The withdrawal date for all tournaments in these competitions is 15 January 2022. Any National Association withdrawing after that date may be subject to a fine or other disciplinary action by the EHF. See current EHF Regulations for further details.
