Day 1 Round up – EuroHockey Championship Qualifiers

17th August 2022, Brussels, Belgium: Day 1 of the EuroHockey Championship Qualifiion events got underway in Vilnius (w) and Ourense (m).

EuroHockey Championship Qualifier C 2022 Women, Vilnius, Lithuania, 17 – 20 Aug 2022

Day 1, Vilnius

The European Qualifiers started in Vilnius with the first match Italy against Lithuania. The first quarter was surprising as both teams looked promising to win, but the Italian team blazed ahead 3-0 in the first half and didn’t want to stop. The match ended at 9:0, and Italy won. Tomorrow the Italian women are expecting a tough game against the Ukrainian team.

EuroHockey Championship Qualifier A 2022 Men, Ourense, Spain, 17 – 20 Aug 2022

Day 1, Ourense

At the EHCQ in Ourense, Spain we saw two great games of Hockey today. Portugal beat Poland 3-2 in an exciting game followed by a sound victory of hosts Spain with 7 – 0 against the Czechs.

Poland v Portugal 2-3 (1-2)

Spain v Czech Republic 7-0 (2-0)
