The Aspiring and Inspiring Youth Leaders (AIYL) project participants met in Brussels for the fifth formal meeting in their three-year, hockey-led program.

This program is supported by the EU’s Erasmus+ and brings together 10 European partners from various backgrounds, teaming together for an inspiring leadership program for youth leaders ready to make a next step toward a more senior function in the national or international sports world.

Though the program is initiated by the hockey family, the final leadership program will be accessible for all other sports. Funding and support by the Erasmus+ Sports program enables the group to realise its dream of putting a high-level sports leadership program together.

The desire is to tailor a comprehensive curriculum which will cover the multi-functional sector of sports administration and governance.

The result will be a European sport leadership training where formal learning with on-the-job learning experiences will be combined.

The partners are the Czech Hockey Federation, the Danish Hockey Federation, the EHF, the Polish Hockey Federation, Hockey Wales, the Swedish Hockey Federation, the Ukrainian Hockey Federation, Street Games, Copenhagen University and SportsinQ.

At this latest meeting, the group discussed various topics related to the project and also relation to EHF and how to present it to the main project stakeholders.

The meeting started with presentation from Cameron Findler and Cedric Vermeiren who had presented about the AIYL project to EHF development committee on the day before.
