A new name will win the women’s EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup on Sunday after MSC Sumchanka and SCHC fought their way through to the final of the competition in Šiauliai.
For Sumchanka, they got the best of Mannheimer HC 3-0 while SCHC snuck by the challenge of Sanse Complutense in their semi-final in a shoot-out.

The day began with SCHC confirming their place in the semi-finals with an emphatic 9-0 win over Ege Yildizlari. It was close in the first half with the Dutch side taking the lead in the 14th minute and they were 2-0 up at the big break through Mariette Boot.
But the second half was one-way traffic with Maud van den Heuvel ending up with four goals to her name.
MSC Sumchanka then joined them in the final four when they edged out Slavia Prague 4-3, sending the Czechia side into the relegation pool.
It was back-and-forth throughout with the game level at 1-1, 2-2 and 3-3 but Karyna Leonova’s hat-trick goal in the 34th minute was the pivotal moment.
A brilliant first half performance from Sanse Complutense saw them reach the semi-finals as they won well against Waterloo Ducks 4-1.
Sara Carmona and Nerea Melero put them 2-0 up in the first quarter and that was backed up by Carolien Jakus and Alejandra de la Llama for a 4-0 lead which was only shortened in the closing stages.
Mannheimer HC, meanwhile, made it three wins from three to top Pool A as they won 6-0 against hosts Šiauliai Ginstrektė-Akademija. Sonja Zimmerman added three more goals to her tournament total.
The afternoon session began with the Waterloo Ducks boosting their chances of avoiding relegation with a 5-0 win over Ege Yildizlari. It moved them to 10 points and if they avoid defeat on Sunday, they will keep Belgium in the top tier for another year.

Slavia got their first win of the competition when they defeated Šiauliai 6-1 with Natálie Hájková scoring her second hat trick of the day.
It lifts them above Ege Yildizlari but they need to get a win against Waterloo on Sunday to keep them in the top level.

And so to the semi-finals where MSC Sumchanka eliminated the German champions in breathtaking fashion as they ran up a 3-0 victory.
It means there will be no German winner of the competition for just the third time in this tournament’s history dating back to 1990 and a new club will be crowned.
Kateryna Popova gave them the dream start with a direct corner strike in the sixth minute. Both goalkeepers made crucial saves in Q2 while Sumchanka survived four corners to keep the narrow lead in tact.
Sumchanka, meanwhile, took their chances in the final quarter with Popova again finding the route to goal for 2-0. And they put the game to bed with a slightly fortuitous third corner, a miscued Kateryna Leonova shot falling to Anastasiia Shyshyna who popped it in on her reverse.
Semi final two was all about defensive intensity with SCHC and Sanse Complutense recording a scoreless draw in a hugely dramatic contest. Sanse just about got it to the extra phase with a final second save off the line from an Elzemiek Zandee shot.
In the shoot-out, again defences were on top with the first five efforts all blocked but Anna de Geus held her nerve to score for 1-0 and a spot in the final.
