25th May 2022, Brussels, Belgium: Stalwart Danish club Slagelse HK celebrated its centenary. In keeping with the family vision of the club, they celebrated with games and dinner for all members!

The EHF Director-General, Angus Kirkland, and Competitions Manager, David Voskamp were in attendance.

Angus said of the club “It is our pleasure to be invited to and attend this important milestone for Slagelse. It seems fitting that their current President, Trine’s grandfather, Villy Sørensen was also President!

They have certainly contributed to the history of the EHF over the years, participating in many EuroHockey events. Their best result was in 2000 was when they finished runners-up at the Indoor Club Cup!

And off the pitch with two top administrators, Dansk Hockey President and EHF Board Member Hans Peter Hansen and top international umpire Henrik (Spikey) Ehlers.

A small club in numbers, but with a big heart!”

Congratulations to Slagelse HK!
