EHF Ranking for Indoor Nations confirmed following 2022 championships

Following the conclusion of the 2022 EuroHockey Indoor Championships, the official EHF Ranking for Indoor Nations has been updated with the entrants for the 2024 competitions also confirmed.

For the 2024 competitions, the top tier will change to a 10-team competition, meaning the top four finishers from last February’s Indoor Championship II for men and women will be promoted, joining the six teams who competed in  the Championship last week.

For the men, this means Spain, Poland, Croatia and Ukraine join Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium and the Czech Republic.

On the women’s side, Spain, Belgium, Poland and Switzerland move up to compete with Germany, Netherlands, Ukraine, Austria, Czech Republic and Türkiye.

As part of the reformat, the remaining nations will be compete in EuroHockey Indoor Championship II which will be split into A and B sections in 2024. Russia and Belarus were excluded in 2022 and were seen as withdrawn teams. As such, they were ranked below the  teams who actually played.

This Ranking will be revised following the conclusion of the EuroHockey Indoor Championships in 2024.
