Present or past activities in sport at national level (NA/NOC): Mr. Eyüp Barbaros Tuzcuoğulları has had an outstanding national-level career in sport spanning over three decades.

He served as the President of the Turkish Hockey Federation between 2006 and 2009, during which he played a pivotal role in structuring the federation, promoting the sport across Türkiye, and establishing a foundation for international collaboration. Prior to that, he worked as a Sports Education Specialist within the Turkish Ministry of Sports and Youth, contributing to national sports policy and athlete development programs from 2003 to 2009.
His academic foundation as a lecturer in physical education and sports (1993–2003) also positioned him as a mentor and role model for future sports professionals. In addition to his administrative leadership, Mr. Tuzcuoğulları has been actively involved as a national team coach—leading the Turkish National Hockey Team in over 85 international events—and as an umpire and competition director in numerous national and international competitions. He is widely recognized for his role in developing hockey in emerging regions, promoting inclusivity, and organizing successful European and Balkan championships. Academically accomplished and fluent in English, Mr. Tuzcuoğulları combines scholarly insight with practical implementation. His vision aligns strongly with EuroHockey’s strategic goals, especially in areas of development, youth engagement, and cross-border cooperation. His proven track record, integrity, and dedication to hockey make him an outstanding candidate to serve and contribute meaningfully at the executive level.

Professional or other qualifications: Mr. Eyüp Barbaros Tuzcuoğulları holds a strong academic and professional foundation in sports and sports management. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Sports Management Sciences at Gazi University in Ankara. He is currently at the thesis stage of his PhD in Hockey at the Sofia National Sports Academy in Bulgaria, demonstrating his commitment to lifelong learning and academic contribution to the sport.
