Lousada and Gniezno to host EuroHockey Championship II events in 2025

Lousada, Portugal and Gniezno, Poland have been confirmed as the host venues for the men’s and women’s EuroHockey Championship II 2025, respectively.

It follows the August EuroHockey qualifiers with both competitions featuring eight nations. The entry lists for Championship III have also been confirmed.

The EuroHockey Championships (Men and Women) 2025 will take place on the following dates and venues.

Men’s Championship

Teams:                        AUT, BEL, ENG, ESP, FRA, GER, NED, POL

Pool A:                        NED, BEL, ESP, AUT

Pool B:                        GER, ENG, FRA, POL

Venue:                         Mönchengladbach (GER)

Dates:                          8th -17th August 2025

Men’s Championship II

Teams:                        CZE, IRL, ITA, POR, SCO, SUI, UKR, WAL

Venue:                         Lousada (POR)

Dates:                          27th July-2nd August 2025

Men’s Championship III

Teams:                        CRO, FIN, GIB, HUN, LTU, LUX, MLT, TUR

Venue:                         TBC

Women’s Championship

Teams:                        BEL, ENG, ESP, FRA, GER, IRL, NED, SCO

Pool A:                        NED, GER, IRL, FRA

Pool B:                        BEL, ENG, ESP, SCO

Women’s Championship II

Note:                           The dates of the event could be moved to 24th-30th August in case the dates of the Women’s Junior World Cup in July 2025 will pose issues.

Women’s Championship III

Teams:                        CRO, GIB, HUN, LUX, TUR

Venue:                         TBC

Dates:                          28th July-2nd August 2025

NB In case of circumstances beyond EuroHockeys control, EuroHockey reserves the right to reconsider the event dates.

NB For the Senior Championships II-III tournaments, the arrangement of the pools will be the responsibility of the FIH (using the appropriate World Ranking positions on the moment the match schedules are prepared). For the EuroHockey Championships in Mönchengladbach a draw was held to decide the pools.

NB The withdrawal date for all tournaments in these competitions is 15th January 2025
Any National Association withdrawing after that date may be subject to a fine or other disciplinary action by EuroHockey. See current EuroHockey Regulations for further details.
