The match schedule for the EuroHockey Championships 2025 has been set with a series of mouth-watering encounters on the agenda for next summer.
The event is the highlight of next year’s hockey calendar, taking place from August 8th to 17th, 2025 at the SparkassenPark in Mönchengladbach. It features 40 games between 16 teams, all of whom are in the top 25 in the world.
This includes the current top four men’s side and three of the top four on the women’s world rankings.
The announcement of the schedule (see links below) gives fans even more motivation to purchase tickets nice and early to avoid disappointment. Half of the tickets have already been sold for the finals weekend on Saturday, August 16th and 2025 and Sunday, August 17th, 2025.
Like in 2025, the classic Germany vs Netherlands women‘s fixture on Monday, August 11th, is also likely to sell fast.
Speaking about the schedule, DHB sports director Martin Schultze said: “We are looking forward to an extremely exciting, top class tournament. We can look forward to thrilling games, close results and unforgettable emotions – a real highlight for all hockey fans!”
EuroHockey Director General Angus Kirkland added: “The EHC 2025 is one of the biggest highlights on next year’s international calendar and the fixtures announced today illustrate the quality of teams facing each other.
“We look forward to continuing to working with the DHB and all involved at the SparkassenPark to make it another memorable festival of our sport.”
Opening night on August 8th sees Poland’s men return to the top level for the first time since 2017 to face 2023 finalists England before reigning World Cup winners Germany face France in Pool B.
Men’s Pool A – featuring Belgium, Austria, Spain and Olympic champions the Netherlands – begins the following day along with women’s Pool A which also the Netherlands along with Ireland, Germany and France.
Women’s Pool B sets the ball rolling on day three on August 10th when England, Scotland, Belgium and Spain start their campaigns.
The top two from each round-robin group will advance to the semi-finals and the subsequent medal matches.
