New EuroHockey Institute media officer programme open for nominations

The first EuroHockey Media Officer programme is now open for nominations with the goal of equipping an aspiring media officer with the skills and practical knowledge needed to manage press operations and media engagement at hockey events across Europe.

Objectives

  • Understand the role and responsibilities of a Media Officer in hockey.
  • Learn best practices for managing press operations before, during, and after events.
  • Discover expert approaches to planning, content creation, and crisis communication.
  • Explore tools and techniques for streaming, commentary, and sports presentation.

Structure & Format

  • Delivery: Online webinars with interactive tasks.
  • Duration: March–May 2026 (three online sessions and evaluation of practical tasks).
  • Timing: 19:00–21:00 CET.
  • Practical Tasks: Venue planning, event content plan, and delivery of an event.

This programme is ideal for individuals looking to develop their media skills within hockey, including those involved in upcoming EuroHockey events or aspiring to work in sports media.

Costs

This programme costs €100 per participant which covers the cost of guest speakers and the administrative costs of running the programme.
