Spain are going through a golden period of sorts with this current underage group coached by Oriol Torras following first place in Europe in 2024 and silver at the Junior World Cup last December.
Half of the panel from the latter competition are still available while the likes of Matias Baron, Mario Mena and Ton Moran cover both successes which have been a launchpad for top stars like Pere Arch and Bruno Avila.
There are goals a plenty in their strikeforce with CD Terrassa’s Josep Martin netting five at the World Cup, one more than Junior FC’s Albert Serrahima while his club mate Nicolau Mustaros got three.

Juan Vilallonga – hailing from 2024 EuroHockey Club of the Year RC Jolaseta – has great pedigree as the younger brother of Rafael.
Goalkeeper Diego Palomero, meanwhile, was with the Spanish indoor side that won bronze in Heidelberg in January while the Junior duo of Serrahima and Mustaros helped win club indoor bronze on their home court.
Home comforts have often proven beneficial for Spain with previous gold medals being won in Madrid (2000), San Sebastian (2008) and Terrassa (2024); they have never been outside the top four in the seven editions they have hosted.
