The Board of Trustees provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Foundation, ensuring good governance, integrity, and compliance with all legal and ethical obligations.
The Board shall:
- Include representatives from a range of relevant sectors, bringing diverse expertise and perspectives
- Provide strategic oversight of the Foundation’s mission, activities, and finances
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, governance, and safeguarding requirements
- The Foundation may appoint a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of ten (10) Trustees, with a commitment to maintaining a 50/50 gender balance.
- Trustees are appointed for a term of four (4) years and may serve a maximum of three consecutive terms, for a total of twelve (12) years, with the exception of the EuroHockey Director General, EuroHockey President and EuroHockey Treasurer whom serve in accordance with their role.

Marcos Hofmann is President of EuroHockey, and serves as a Vice-President of the International Hockey Federation (FIH).
He was elected EuroHockey President in 2023 and is recognised for his focus on transparency, inclusivity, and the sustainable growth of the sport across Europe. Alongside his sporting leadership, Hofmann is an experienced international business executive. Based in Barcelona, he is Chief Executive Officer of Sucesores W. Hofmann SL and has held senior leadership positions including Chairman of Fibran Group and inAtlas. With an MBA from IESE Business School, he brings extensive expertise in strategy, governance, and business development to both the corporate and sporting worlds.
Levi Van Havere is a Belgian business executive and sports administrator who serves as Treasurer of EuroHockey.
He is a member of the EuroHockey Executive Board, helping oversee the organisation’s financial governance and long-term strategy. A law graduate with extensive experience in finance and corporate leadership, he has held senior roles across several European businesses. Passionate about hockey, Van Havere progressed from club-level volunteering to leadership at the European level, where he is committed to promoting transparency, accountability, and sustainable growth, supporting the continued development of hockey across Europe.
Dr Iva Glibo is a Research Manager at the Global Observatory for Gender Equality & Sport in Lausanne, where she leads international initiatives advancing gender equality and inclusion in and through sport.
She brings cross-sector experience spanning academia, advocacy, non-governmental and international sport organisations. Her work focuses on sustainability, sport for development, and governance, with particular expertise in evaluating and designing initiatives that promote equality, participation, and more sustainable sport systems. Iva holds a doctorate in strategic sustainable development in sport organisations and brings both academic and practitioner perspectives to her work.
Franco Melis is the Head of Corporate Relations and Fundraising at the Palazzo Ducale Foundation for Culture in Genoa, Italy.
He holds an MBA and a Museology Diploma from the École du Louvre, Paris. Combining professional fundraising expertise with a lifelong dedication to sport, Franco has served on the IMHA European Board and as FIH Ligurian Regional President. An active player, he has 144 caps for Italy’s Masters team and two World Masters Games gold medals. He is passionate about using hockey to foster social inclusion.
Phil Taylor is Chief Executive Officer of Blueprint Sport Consultancy.
An experienced leader in strategy and organisational development to facilitate meaningful change in developing and delivering sport. Working closely with the likes of UEFA and EuroHockey and many of their member national associations in recent years. Phil has been central to the design and delivery of the Organisational Health service which advances the strategic approach of European hockey nations. After witnessing first-hand initiatives such as Hockey ID, Phil is excited at the prospect of the difference that can be delivered through the work of the Foundation. Through his role as a trustee, Phil is looking forward to providing ongoing insight into the needs of EuroHockey member nations to help deliver this difference, and will be key to identifying best practices from other sports to drive accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability in all what we do.
Lauren Templeton is a sport consultant with 20 years’ experience working both within the UK and internationally.
She specialises in sports participation equality, diversity and inclusion, policy development, and governance. Over the past 5 years Lauren has worked in Para-sport with GB Wheelchair Rugby and World Wheelchair Rugby where she is currently part of the Global Taskforce for female participation and leading policy development on transgender and equality. Currently executive lead for a Nike inclusive coaching programme in Europe, the Middle East and South Africa (EMEA), she is leading the development of a new approach to train 500 sports coaches in 8 countries. Alongside her passion for disability sport, Lauren is a champion for growing women’s participation in wheelchair rugby which is a mixed sport at Paralympic level. Lauren set up the first GB women’s wheelchair rugby team who competed at the Paris Women’s Cup in 2023 and 2024, and which also competed in the first ever women’s international match at the 2023 event. She also served as the Legacy Lead and LOC member for the Wheelchair Rugby Euro 2023 Championships held at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, delivering the most successful legacy programme and largest ever attended para event. Lauren has played hockey since school and currently plays and umpires for her local team in London.
Wouter Govaerts joined the Eurohockey Foundation as a trustee in September 2026.
Wouter is a Belgian citizen and has lived and studied/worked in multiple countries and he brings a strong mix of international business, finance, investing, people and governance skills.
He is keen to contribute to the Foundation and operate at the intersection of sports, finance and impact. He thrives in international environments connecting with different stakeholders
Wouter is passionate about sports and active lifestyle. He grew into hockey via his daughter. He strongly believes in team sports as a force for good: connecting people, preparing to navigate life and teaching to belong.
