Identification​

• Children, refugees, and displaced communities in urban areas often lack access to safe and inclusive places to play. EuroHockey identified sport, and hockey in particular, as a powerful tool to foster social connection, wellbeing, and integration. ​

​Activation​

• Through the EuroHockey Foundation, projects were launched to create welcoming play environments using hockey as the engagement tool. Delivered with local partners, these projects focus on accessibility, safeguarding, and community ownership.  ​

• Increased social inclusion and community cohesion​
• Safe environments for play in underserved urban areas​
• Improved wellbeing and confidence among participants​
