Submitted reasons why the candidate is considered suitable for the position: Inez is a leader whose passion for hockey is matched only by her proven ability to deliver meaningful, lasting change across all levels of the sport. Since being elected Vice President of EuroHockey in 2021, Inez has brought strategic vision, commercial expertise, and an unwavering commitment to progressall rooted in her deep experience both in business and in hockey governance.

With a strong background in commercial leadership and strategic planning, Inez has consistently brought fresh thinking and results-oriented action to the EuroHockey Board. She has played a central role in key areas such as commercial rights and sponsorship, host bid selection processes, EU Erasmus funding, education development, and long-term strategy.

Her ability to think big and execute even bigger was evident when she spearheaded the delivery of Big Stadium Hockey for the Olympic Qualifier in Donnybrook, a bold, ambitious project that reimagined what a hockey event could be and attracted significant public interest and support.

Long before joining the EuroHockey Board, Inez had made her mark in hockey. In 2015, she led the successful restructure of the EY Irish Hockey League, bringing stability, clarity, and a new level of competitiveness to the domestic game. Her work continues to benefit Irish hockey today.

Inez is also a champion of inclusion and equity in sport. She has played a pivotal role in promoting and mentoring female leaders, particularly through her involvement in the SWinG EU Erasmus programme, which supports women in governance across sport in Europe. Her leadership on this front has helped shape a more inclusive future for hockey.

One of Inez’s greatest strengths is her ability to get things done, effectively, on time, and under pressure. Her project management skills are second to none. She chaired the Local Organising Committees for two major international events held just four months apart: the Olympic Qualifier in Donnybrook and the World Series Finals in Banbridge. Both were delivered to exceptional standards, reinforcing her reputation as a trusted leader who can deliver on the biggest stage.

She has also led several large-scale initiatives that required both rapid response and strategic foresight, including raising €45,000 in just three days to ensure the Irish men’s team could compete at the FIH Champions Challenge I in 2012. It was a critical moment for the team, and her leadership made it possible.

Throughout her career, Inez has worked tirelessly to ensure that hockey evolves with the times. Whether through revamping competition structures, overhauling rules and regulations, or reorganising the Education Committee to increase impact and efficiency, she has never been afraid to challenge the status quo in the interest of long-term improvement.

On the infrastructure side, she has led multiple high-impact projects, including the full delivery of a new clubhouse (from concept to completion in just 13 months), two pitch replacement projects, and a modernisation of floodlight systems to LED.

We believe, Inez brings the perfect balance of vision and delivery. She is deeply committed to the growth and integrity of the sport not only as a board member or project lead, but as someone who understands the human side of hockey: its people, its players, and its power to inspire.

She leads with clarity and acts decisively, guided by experience and values. And she has demonstrated, time and again, that she is the kind of leader who makes things better, for now and the future and therefore a perfect candidate for the role of Vice President.
