The nominations are now open for the EuroHockey Institute Youth Leadership Festival 2025. The festival will take place between August 10th to 14th in Monchengladbach, Germany as a side event of the EuroHockey Championships. The deadline for these nominations is 31st January.
The EuroHockey Institute Youth Leadership Festival will bring together young leaders aged 18-30 from all across Europe. Throughout the week, the youth leaders will take part in workshops on a range of topics including leadership, inclusion, marketing, officiating and wellbeing.
The festival provides a platform for young people to learn from each other, share experiences and develop long-lasting friendships in a supportive and inspirational environment.
Speaking of her time at the festival, Youth Leadership Committee member Anna Pim had this to say: “Honestly, it was incredible, the days were packed with various activities such as team building, communications, coaching and officiating workshops.
“I played on the pitch and watched some of the opening games. I made many friendships and connections during my time in Germany. It was fantastic to hear of all the inspirational work that goes on in hockey in other countries, the trip gave me an insight to where other countries are with their hockey development.”
An integral part of the festival schedule is the opportunity for all participants to present what they are working on at home as a youth leader in their hockey community. We therefore ask that all nominees are working on or have recently completed a project to develop hockey in their nation.
All nominations for the festival must be submitted by member national associations, so specific details on how to apply for the festival have been sent to national association development leads.
If you are interested in participating in the festival as a youth leader, please contact your national association.
There is a space available for one female and one male candidate from each EuroHockey member national association; we strongly encourage all national associations to nominate both.
