Annual Albena Camp and Coaches Seminar benefits from EuroHockey Solidarity Grant

The traditional summer EuroHockey/BHF Albena Hockey Camp and Coaches Seminar 2023 on the Bulgarian coast with participants from Bulgaria, Armenia and Ukraine taking part.

The event is supported by a EuroHockey Solidarity Grant and saw more than 15 coaches from the three member national associations take in a high level coaches seminar organised by Dimitri Dubuisson from the Bulgarian Hockey Federation.

The seminar was presented by EuroHockey appointed expert coach and speaker Loïc Eylenbosch from Belgium. The coaches received outstanding training on their missions: team building, new tactical approaches, video analysis and Hockey 5s exercises and both theoretical and practical with the youth players.

Other invited speakers completed this multi-dimensional program for coaches: Prof. Antonio Antonov (missions), Christian Vasilev (Hockey 5s rules) and Doctor Katia Stoylova (pedagogy), all certified by EuroHockey

In parallel, more than 50 young players from the three nations trained both with the coaches and with the appointed EuroHockey coach as well as enjoying the beauty of the Bulgarian resort of Albena with its numerous pools and excellent beach.

Finally, coaches and U12 and U14 players participated in the traditional Albena Cup with the Armenian U12 team and Bulgarian team NSA Sofia at U14 level proving successful.
