EuroHockey Coaching programmes welcome further female nominations

The EuroHockey Institute welcomes further female nominations for the following Coaching programmes for 2025:

At the 16th EuroHockey General Assembly in 2019, all EuroHockey member national associations signed a groundbreaking charter, pledging to achieve gender balance across the sport.

As part of this commitment, the EuroHockey Institute has adopted a policy ensuring equal opportunity by reserving 50% of all available spots in its programmes for non-male applicants.

For the 2025 Coaches for Europe and Top Coaches Programmes, this means 6 of the 12 places are allocated to non-male candidates.

While the EuroHockey Coaching Committee was pleased with the overall applications received for the 2025 coaching courses, it was disappointed by the low number of female applicants.

The committee believes that the additional value of EuroHockey coaching courses is derived from the diverse background of its participants. Therefore, the committee has asked that the nomination window be extended to allow for the opportunity for more female applicants, to ensure a full cohort and the best possible learning experience for all.
