Fifteen European teams will battle for the 12 remaining Olympic places on offer over the next 10 days as the final qualifiers get under way in Valencia, Ranchi and Muscat this week.
Half of the action takes place in Spain with both a women’s and men’s qualifier taking place.
On the women’s side, the hosts are in a group with Great Britain, Canada and Malaysia with Belgium, Ireland and Ukraine representing Europe in Pool A along with Korea.
For the men, reigning Olympic champions Belgium start off against Japan while Ireland play Ukraine in Pool A. Pool B features Spain, Austria, Korea and Egypt.
In India, the other women’s qualifier also starts on Saturday with Germany and the Czech Republic in a group with Japan and Chile.
Italy are the sole European side in Pool B where they meet India, New Zealand and the United States.
Finally, next Monday sees the Muscat play host to the second men’s qualifier. It features Great Britain against Malaysia, Pakistan and China. The other pool has Germany, New Zealand, Canada and Chile.
In each case, the top two in each group advance to the semi-finals of their respective event. From there, each side will be looking for one more win – either in the semi-final or the bronze match – to stamp their ticket to Paris 2024.
