Final line-ups confirmed in Rakovnik, Glasgow and Alanya

The final line-ups have been confirmed at the three women’s EuroHockey Club events across the continent with all the medals to be determined on Monday. Here’s a round-up of day three

Women’s EuroHockey Club Trophy I – Rakovnik

Watsonians will join Hampstead & Westminster in Monday’s final after they overcame Cambrai 3-1 in their top-table decider in Pool B.

The French side did take the lead in Q1 through Pauline Bracq but Emily Dark and Katherine Holdgate turned things around before half-time and Holdgate made the game safe in the 57th minute.

Hosts Rakovnik bounced back from two tough games to beat Rotweiss Wettingen 2-0 and finish in the third place in group.

The line-up for the two Monday finals was confirmed today with hosts Alanya Stars set to play Poland’s UKS Swarek Swarzędz while Cardiff & Met will play Ukraine’s IFK SumDPU.

Alanya confirmed their place at the top of Pool A with a 4-1 win against Luxembourg with Gülcan Paksoy, Fatma Ciğerlie, Ayla Esen and Zeliha Kendir sharing the goals.

In Pool B, Swarek Swarzędz got in position to advance when they beat Europa 1-0 with a Marta Czujewicz goal. They were still able to be overtaken by Grupo Desportivo do Viso if they could nab a win against Cardiff but they were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw – their third successive tie this weekend.
