Kutaisi gets underway with Denmark delivering two wins

A historic opening day in Kutaisi for Georgian Hockey as they hosted their first-ever international EuroHockey event.

It saw Denmark sit at the top of the pool following comprehensive wins over hosts Georgia and Armenia, scoring 18 and not conceding.

It gives them the big advantage in the group but they have a big encounter early on day two against second placed Bulgaria (pictured). They opened their campaign with a 5-5 draw against Luxembourg before edging out Armenia 4-1.

Georgia will hope they can get on the board when they face Luxembourg and Armenia on day two before the group phases are concluded on Saturday morning.
