A last minute Tyler Lench goal won Hampstead & Westminster the women’s EuroHockey Club Trophy I in Rakovnik in the most dramatic of style.
She struck with one of the last plays to earn a 3-2 win over Watsonians in the final to take the laurels.
All the goals bookended the game with a wild flurry of goals coming between the eighth and 11th minutes, Olivia Hamilton scoring for H&W either side of a Ellie Wilson goal to give the Londoners a 2-1 advantage.
Katherine Holdgate got the Scots back level at 2-2 with six minutes to go but the English side found the late winner to win gold and a bump in ranking points for the EHL for their country.
Loreto had a comfortable 6-1 win over Cambrai to win third place with Mia Jennings, Caitlin Sherin, Siofra O’Brien and Rebekah Fitzpatrick all scoring in the first half. O’Brien and Fitzpatrick added further goals for good measure.
SG Amsicora defeated hosts 1972 Rakovník in the 5th/6th place playoff following a 3-3 thriller in normal time. The Italians won their shoot-out 4-3.
