In the world of sports officiating, there is still a large gap between the genders, with sports officiating predominantly a male preserve. The WINS project seeks to carry out comprehensive research into the issues which have led to fewer female officials in sport. In turn the project hopes to find ways to recruit, retain and support female sports officials, including an online tool kit and a mentoring and leadership legacy.
