Solidarity Grant application window now open

The window to apply for a EuroHockey Solidarity Grant to support member national associations to shape their own projects is now open until January 31st.

Solidarity Grants have proven a huge success since their introduction in 2021, allowing excellent projects to get off the ground including support for the development of national strategies, umpiring pathways and schools’ programmes.

As was the case in 2024, National Associations can apply only during this single application window in January. Following this, a selection group of EuroHockey Development Committee members and EuroHockey staff will assess the applications and select the successful projects.

With the upcoming launch of the Developing National Coaching Systems (DNCS) programme, the most significant change for the 2025 nominations is that we ask for no coaching-related applications through the solidarity grant. More information will be communicated about this in due course.

The nominations for 2025 are now open and we look forward to receiving the applications from our members. The development leads for each national association have been sent the link to nominate their project.

EuroHockey is limited in the number of grants it is able to award each year so we encourage national associations to take their time in writing their application, ensuring it has a clear strategic focus and will lead to a sustainable legacy beyond the length of the grant.

EuroHockey and the selection group will look for projects that are well-thought out, strategic and, where possible, align with the priorities of your sports ministries and National Olympic Committees.

The deadline for applications is the 31st January at 17:00 (CET).
