Job DescriptionThe Technical Director will:

Lead the development and implementation of Alberta’s athlete development pathway in alignment with Long-Term Development principles and Field Hockey Canada standards.
Provide technical leadership for athlete, coach, and official development across the province.
Support the delivery of NCCP courses, workshops, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for coaches.
Plan, deliver, and evaluate technical programs including camps, clinics, development initiatives, and competitions.
Support provincial team programming, including talent identification, coach and athlete selection processes, Yearly Training Plans, and competition preparation.
Work with clubs and regional organizations to strengthen programming, participation, athlete retention, and coach development.
Serve as a technical liaison between Field Hockey Alberta, Field Hockey Canada, coaches, clubs, and other stakeholders.
Develop annual technical plans, calendars, and program budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director.
Ensure FHA programming follows Safe Sport principles, the Rule of Two, and Field Hockey Alberta policies.
Provide technical recommendations and regular updates to FHA leadership and the Board of Directors.
