CAM92 and Nevşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü have both already confirmed final spots at their respective men’s EuroHockey club competitions as the intensity rises in Lisburn and Konya.
Men’s EuroHockey Club Trophy I – Lisburn
CAM92 pinned down a final spot while hosts Lisnagarvey are within touching distance of doing the same following day two.
For the French club, they opened the day with a 7-0 win over Scotland’s Grange in a bizarre game with all the goals coming in the second half; Tom Gaillard scored two with the remainder of goals spread across five other players.
They will top the group with second place to be determined by the match between OKS SHVSM Vinnitsa and Grange on Sunday.
In Pool B, Garvey (above picture by Billy Pollock) won a thriller 5-4 with Mark McNellis scoring the winner five minutes from the end. Cardiff had led 2-1 and 4-3 before the home club turned things around.
Slavia Prague and ASD Tevere EUR shared a 1-1 draw with plenty of late drama as Patrik Dubina and Giacomo Palombi traded goals in the last 10 minutes.
Lisnagarvey need to avoid defeat to confirm top spot in the group while Cardiff need to do likewise to finish second.
Men’s EuroHockey Club Challenge I – Konya
Nevşehir Belediyesi Spor Kulübü have taken control of their event in Alanya thanks to a 6-1 win over Hungary’s Építök built around two goals in the first 10 minutes from Furkan Ataş and Cihan Korkmaz. They led 3-0 at half-time and, despite four yellow cards in the second half, pulled further away with Korkmaz and Ataş doubling their tallies.

They sit on 10 points with Orient Lyngby in second on seven thanks to their 2-2 draw with HC Vinnitsa 1981. The Danes rescued a share of the points late in the match via Elvind Escargueil who equalised with three minutes left. Vinnitsa had led 2-0 in the first 17 minutes.
Orient and Nevşehir meet in a Sunday group match which could be a prequel to the final if the Danes pick up a losing point or better.
