EuroHockey Championship Qualifier A, Glasgow, Scotland
Lithuania qualified for next year’s EuroHockey Championship II with a 3-0 win over Croatia who will contest Championship III as a result.
Lithuania held sway in the early phase and were only denied by a brilliant sliding Nicole Stepić save in the early stages
A huge deflection from a Kristina Siebé effort found the back of the net to break the deadlock in the first half, looping up and over the stranded goalkeeper.
And they moved two clear in the 37th minute via a beautiful Dovile Juraite goal on her backhand to give them an extra room to breathe.
The win was complete in the last 10 minutes, this time from Samanta Jakoleva with a strike from the top of the D from a penalty corner.
