Eleven-time Dutch champions AH&BC Amsterdam will be looking to complete the set of Indoor Club Cup medals after a silver in the inaugural competition in Amiens in 1990 and bronze in both 2011 and 2017.

They have a squad list with a number of indoor superstars with Mutsapha Cassiem named the best player of the 2025 World Cup while his brother Dayaan is also an artist in this format.

Boris Burkhardt is one of the best Dutch protagonists as has a European bronze and World Cup silver to his name.

Looking ahead to the tournament, coach Teun Rohof – a Dutch legend indoors – says: “It is great to be back at the european indoor level. Given the fact that we do not have a Dutch national team, our league title of last year makes it possible for us to show what we can at an international level. We are looking forward to play and reach our goals.”

It will be Amsterdam’s eighth appearance on this stage, their last one coming in 2019. They were the Dutch runners-up this season, losing the final to HDM.

HC Olten (SUI)

Appearances: debut

HC Olten won the Swiss indoor championship in 2025 after a long drought of 30 years, their third time in the club’s history. It came during a special season in which they also won the outdoor title after a lengthy wait, allowing them to make their EHL debut last October in Barcelona.

The current squad is built around a strong core of internationally experienced players, Lukas Hengartner, Lorenz Gassner and goalkeeper Laurent Rogger are among the most capped players at senior international level and all played in the Euros in Heidelberg in January.

Captain Nico Muggli also has international experience and plays a central role both on and off the pitch.

He says of the tournament: “Competing at the highest level in Europe is something we’ve worked towards for years. We’re incredibly excited to test ourselves against the best clubs and learn from the experience.”

After the EHL participation last year, this tournament marks an important milestone in the club’s international journey. They finished in fourth place in the Swiss indoor championship.

Royal Léopold (BEL)

Appearances: 2

Best performance: Winners (2025)

The reigning champions continued made history last year in Wettingen when they became the first Belgian winners of this competition.

And they continued their gold-rush last weekend with their fifth consecutive Belgian men’s title with a resounding 8-1 final win over White Star.

The team includes Tanguy Zimmer, the team captain; goal machine Philippe Simar; goalkeeper Romain Henet and Tom Degroote who all played in the Euros in Heidelberg in January where Belgium finished fifth.

In addition, Dylan Englebert and the Lockwood brothers are crucial factors alongside several talented young players.

The coach, Christophe Moraux, played in the European Cup in Vienna in 2024 at the age of 48, due to several last-minute injuries within the squad which saw them contest the tournament with just eight players but still finish in sixth place.

He became the oldest player ever to have played and scored in the European Cup A.

TJ Plzeň-Litice (CZE)

Appearances: debut

The Czech side are making their debut in the top tier following their promotion from the Club Trophy last year in Budapest, finishing as runners-up to Old Georgians.

Four of the side played for their country in the EuroHockey Indoor Championship in Heidelberg in January with Adam Uhlíř captaining the side that came agonisingly close to a semi-final spot before being denied by Poland.

He is joined by fellow internationals Jakub Homolka, Kryštof Šesták and goalkeeper Vojtěch Pažitka who were in Germany, too.

But they will miss Martin Seemann who was a key leader last year in Budapest where he scored 12 times. In his absence, Lukáš Benda and Eduard Gerlický are ones who may be important in front of goal.

They missed out on a third successive Czech title following a thrilling national championship final against Bohemians, missing out 7-5 in the decider.
