HAHK Mladost are the last remaining side with a 100% record in Zagreb as their big win over Copenhagen sees them needing just a draw to reach Sunday’s final of the men’s EuroHockey Club Trophy II.

Elsewhere in Pool B, HC Bra got back in contention with a win over KS Pomorzanin Torun while in Pool A, it is wide open. Casa Pia from Portugal have a slight edge, one point clear of Nizip Zeugma while Olimpia Vinnitsa are two further back but still in contention.

Game 5: Casa Pia Atlético Clube v Nizip Zeugma SK 1-0

In the first match of the second day at the EuroHockey Club Trophy II Casa Pia Atlético Clube secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Nizip Zeugma SK. Casa Pia earned 5 points, enhancing their position in the group.

The deadlock was finally broken in the last minute of the fourth quarter when Casa Pia’s Tomás Teixeira scored a field goal, sealing the win. Both teams demonstrated strong defensive capabilities, but Casa Pia’s persistence paid off in the end.

Game 6: Slagelse HC v SHC SHVSM Olimpia Vinnitsa 2-1

In the second match of the day Slagelse HC faced HC SHVSM Olimpia Vinnitsa in a thrilling encounter. Slagelse HC emerged victorious with a 2-1 score, earning 5 points, while Olimpia Vinnitsa, with a narrow loss, earned a losing bonus point.

Game 7: KS Pomorzanin Torun v SHC Bra 1-3

In Pool B action at the EuroHockey Club Trophy II Men 2024, HC Bra triumphed over KS Pomorzanin Torun with a 3-1 victory.

Bra opened the scoring in the 9th minute with a field goal by Simone Raimo. Pomorzanin equalized in the 26th minute through a goal by Wojciech Rutkowski. However, Bra regained the lead in the third quarter with a goal from Matteo Moro in the 36th minute and sealed their victory with another field goal by Andrea Bertorello in the 57th minute. This win earned HC Bra 5 points, moving them level with Pomorzanin on 6.

Game 8: HAHK Mladost v Copenhagen HC 4-0

IHAHK Mladost delivered a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Copenhagen HC, going ahead in the eighth minute and never looking back from there.

Fran Zlatar got the ball rolling with the first and his second arrived in the 21st minute. Jakov Damjanić got the third in Q3 before Roko Varga sealed the victory with a final goal in the 53rd minute.

This win earned HAHK Mladost 5 points, they now sit comfortably at the top of Pool B on 10 pts, four ahead of Saturday’s opponents Pomorzanin and HC Bra.
