A historic moment for Galway as they host their first-ever EuroHockey event.
With two promotional slots available from this one pool event of six teams it was bound to be an intense day of eight games!
Croatia (4-1 v Slovakia), Lithuania (6-0 v Portugal), and Ireland (7-2 v Sweden) were the winners in the opening session.
The afternoon session saw Lithuania extend their lead at the top of the table with a 5-1 win over Slovakia. Ireland is hot on their heels on 6pts with a 5-1 win over Croatia. Sweden earned their first points beating Portugal 5-0.
